Itinerary (Note: Tour starts from arrival in Bangkok on Day 1)
Day1
Bangkok to Ayutthaya (L,D)
Proceed north to Ayutthaya – the ancient capital of Thailand for 417 years. The tour will take you to visit some of the beautifully preserved monuments around the city. Begin with the famous Wat Phra Si Sanphet following by a visit to one of the biggest bronze Buddha statues in Viharn Pramongokolbophit. Optional: elephant ride around the city. The tour will continue traveling northwards to Phitsanuloke where we will spend the night. In the evening, you may want to take a night tour (optional) of the city by similar or take a walk around the night market by the river. For your comfort and stay in Pitsanuloke, overnight at Amarin Lagoon Hotel for 2 nights.
Day2
Ayutthaya – Sukhothai - Phitsanulok (B,L,D)
After breakfast, proceed to Sukhothai – the first capital of the Thai Kingdom; now preserved as a World Heritage Historical Park. Visit to the Museum and Historical Park where you will have a quick understanding of the process that went into restoring the many ruins and monuments in the Park. Then proceed to see some of these impressive sights. After lunch, continue to Sri Satchanalai Historical Park. It was here that the celebrated ceramic wares – Sangkhlok were manufactured for both local use and export. This afternoon, you will visit some of the impressive ruins and monuments of the city, including the Kiln Museum before returning to Phitsanulok for overnight.
Day3
Phitsanulok - Bangkok (B,L)
Following breakfast, depart from Phitsanulok for Bangkok. En-route, stop at Lopburi. This small town serves as a stopover for people traveling northwards from Ayutthaya. Here, you will visit Wat Pra Sam Yod a preserved monument from the Khemer period. The journey continues to Bangkok.
