Make your own way to Tokyo station.
Bullet train to Ichinoseki and change for a local non-reserved train to Hiraizumi. (Travel time 180min.)
Free at leisure. Enjoy visiting the historical sites such as Motsuji and Chusonji Temple registered as a World Heritage site.

Transfer to Hiraizumi Station and take a local train to Matsushima. (Travel time 100min.)
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel by free shuttle van. (Travel time 2min)
Free at leisure. Matsushima is the general name for a group of some 260 islands,
large and small, that are scattered in the coastal part of Matsushima Bay.
Matsushima's great view is considered one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan.
Enjoy onsen and Japanese dinner at your accommodation.

Local train to Sendai, the largest city in Tohoku region (the Northeastern region).
Visit Aoba Castle by yourself.
Local train to Yamadera. You can see Risshaku-ji (Yamadera) in front of the station.
This temple is one of the prominent temples in Tohoku region, and was reportedly found in year 860.The whole Mt. Hoju is the precinct of the temple, where ancient trees grow luxuriantly.
Everywhere in the vast temple area, you can find rock caves and queerly shaped rocks, eroded by wind and water, as well as many other temple buildings, including the Konpon - chudo. Try 1,100 steps up to the top of Yamadera (Travel Time 45min.).
